A new chapter

Olivia graduated from Jake's Place Christian Preschool in June - Teacher Patty organized a beautiful ceremony where the children sang, performed a May-Pole dance, and recited some their academic skills. Teacher Patty complimented all the children on their Christian character - Olivia's gentleness and joy. She has been sad to say good-bye to her special teacher, but it helps that we see her at church often.



Phuong and I have been really thinking and praying about where Olivia will go for kindergarten and we have settled on here at our house! We are going to home school for now and see where it takes us. We chose My Father's World curriculum and are on day 2. So far, I'm super impressed with how much hands-on learning there is - this is perfect for her. it is also very centered around the Word of God. Drew also has his own curriculum for his little almost 4-year old self...but he really likes doing what Olivia is doing most of the time. So, it should be a fun year - we are looking forward to taking advantage of all the benefits of homeschooling like field trips, occasional sleeping in and plenty of arts and crafts!
